flavel leisure 2100EL oven won't light?

The oven on my Flavel leisure 2100EL cooker will not light. The pilot works and the thermostat glows red hot and thats it. I have noticed that the thermostat has come out of its housing and I have done my best to re locate it without any luck.

is it possible to test the thermostat to see if it needs replacing etc. By the way the cooker works on propane gas.
can anybody help I am getting a lot of stick at home

change the thermocouple ( the copper and brass tube that runs between the pilot light and the main gas valve)

The gas flame needs to play on the thermocouple, Barry - and if this is the case its likely that the thermocouple has burnt out, at this stage if its not keeping the gas on.
