I forgot mu administrator password to loging in to my lap top, is windows xp, I'm using my wife user name for now, what can do?

Im presuming your wifes username is a limited account..? Either way if you boot in to safe mode (keep hitting f8 at startup) it should have both yours and your wifes name + a administrator profile which will have no password. Once your in, you should be able to change your password with ease in the control panel.
