how to stop my MGF car alarm going off in the night ?

when the car is locked with key or electric fob, after a few hours the alarm goes off only for a min then stops ? this continues unless the car is left open

Doesn't particularly solve the problem of the alarm activating, but removing the fuse for the horn does help :-)

some MGFcars had a volumetric alarm function this may be turned on if it is then the dealer may be able to turn it off for you

This may be due to the switch that secures the bonnet - perhaps you could try this first?
