Connect my surrond sound to LG plasma tv?

I am looking for a simple diagram to connect my maxim home cinema system with dvd player to connect to my Lg plasma TV and cable reciever.I get the dvd player working on surround sound but can't get the tv to come through the surround speakers

Thanks for that Jason.TV is a LG 42" plasma with 2 scart sockets DVD surround is Maxim with no scart socket and cable is VBOX with 2 scart sockets but I think it has a fibre optical link.I'm a little bit thick when it comes to wiring these up I did manage to get sound through suround system when playing DVDs but goes back to tv sound system when watching tv.I would find a diagram very helpful if you could help at all

If your TV is newer and has an integrated digital TV tuner, you will need an 'optic fiber' cable to go to your speaker system...the system will need to take an optic fiber connection though...most of those little systems don't, in which case you can get an 'optic-coaxial' converter and adapt to the coaxial input on your speaker system. More information, such as model numbers is needed to really be of much help.
