When you start the machine nothing happens. The lights are all on and the water supply is fine--I have checked all filters but the machine will not fill.
Can I fix this myself or do I need outside help

Had a similar problem with a dwf30, turned out to be a bad solder joint on the circuit board behind the facia control panel. One joint on one of the relays was visibly bad, resoldered them all and it worked.
If the float switches are ok, check the circuit board.
