My Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 started to make some strange noises when on the emptying cycle today, but the water didn't drain away. The drum spins round ok (no noise). Has my pump gone? They seem relativly cheap on the net, is it easy to fit?

hello could be something blocking the pump you may not need a new one. remove the small panel on the back of the machine at the bottom and you see the pump this is usually screwed on fron underneath or clipped in unscrew/clip then you will have a bit more room to play with the pump will then uncrew with either a phillips screwdriver or a castle/star headed screwdriver you can then check the pump. to remove all the water with out getting it everywhere take the waste pipe of the sink or out of the waste outlet and keep it as low as possible in to a bowl. hope this helps if you need any help or parts contact me blafdesy2005@btinternet.com
