How to eliminate a program that wants to install?

I am running microsoft xp home version. A program tries to install when i turn the computer on . I simply cancel the installation of this program (Photo Gallery) then continue on. How can I eliminate this attempt to install that occurs every time I boot up???

go to run and type in msconfig.. Click on the startup tab. Here is all the programs that load after windows starts. If there is one relating to photogallery, make sure it is unchecked. Click ok and exit out. It should be corrected when you restart.

Use a utility like autoruns to stop the install program running at startup. DO NOT STOP OTHER PROGRAMS unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing.
