My Ideal Classic250 fires up when called upon by the thermostat but does not fire fully. When I give it a tap near on/off switch, burners fire fully. However, when boiler switches off and restarts, problem is same as before. rectified by a tap near on/off switch. Please help.

by the sound of it you have a problem with either the main pcb or the main switch!
