How do I change the belt on an electrolux genesis upright?

I have an electrolux genesis upright vacuum (10 yrs old+) with a broken drive belt. I have removed the five screws on the bottom of the head and still can't separate the cover. Are there tabs somewhere (looks like two near the wheels) that need to be pried open?

I've working on mine for 30 minutes but can't get the cover off.

it's gear driven, no belt 1992 version.

More. The tabs are in the two small slots outsidde the wheels, not the 2 inside ones. Those are associated with the detent that holds the handle upright when not in use.

You are correct. There are 2 tabs where you think. You just have to stick a couple of screwdrivers in and keep trying until you find it. I am sure there is a correct method, but I sure can't figure it out. I have had ours open 3 times and replaced the belt this week. It looks to me like it would be OK even if the tabs were gone because the 5 screws would surely hold it together. Actually, I only have 2 remaining.
