Hole in Cashmere Sweater?

I just found a tiny, star shaped hole in the front of a beloved cream colored cashmere sweater. Does anyone know how to fix it. Should I take it to the tailor? Thanks!

I'm doing the same thing with a cream cashmere cardigan and I'm using that fusible stuff, similar to iron on patches but nice and thin. I figure it will show a bit, but when it comes to losing my "security sweater", it's all ok in my book. Good luck to ya and wear it with heart!

It's better to have a experieneced knitter for amending and it won't cost much, since a small hole is very easily to grow bigger and bigger and finally you will lost this sweater.

I just found this online.
How do you repair a hole in a cashmere sweater?
In: Clothing [Edit categories]

do what I'm about to do: take some of those iron-on patches. Turn your sweater inside-out. Cut a small piece of iron-on stuff, and with heat on very low, iron over the hole. It will keep the hole from ripping and if the hole is small, no one will ever see it.

Your sweater is fuXored, be prepare to pay $40~$100 for profession to reweave and repair the hole.
