How can I replace a ceramic cartridge on my Zucchetti mixer tap?

I have removed with an allen key the screw found at the front of the base of the mixing handle but cannot remove anything to access the ceramic mixer in order to install a new one. I have not wanted to use too much force to prevent doing damage but thought removing the screw would have led to obvious removal of components resulting in situation where component could be replaced but that has not happened. What do I need to do?

If there is a gold section in the handle. Apply gentle upward pressure to unclip-- this is only plastic! Unscrew the phillips head screw and remove the handle, Using a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot of the gold cover gently unclip it. Remove the circlip with proper circlip pliers. With the small flat blade screwdriver ease the nylon washerout. Take note of the side facing out as both sides are not the same.Unscrew the piece holding the cartridge in with a correctly fitting spanner so as not to damage the outside thread. Push out the cartridge. When inserting the new one make sure the locating lugs are correctly positioned. Replace the holding piece only tightening to the stopping point. Be careful not to overtighten but make sure it is fully screwed up. Replace nylon washer, circlip,Gold cover, tap handle&screw, plastic tap insert, and Bob's your Uncle! Every thing should work.
