My Bosch dishwasher keeps filling with water even when turned off and floods my kitchen...Grrrrrr! Is this an easy fix for someone who knows very little about them but can turn his hand to most things?

Like many other people, we have had a Bosch dishwasher that flooded our kitchen, dining room and basement. The intake pump/valve and the touted anti-flood device both failed during the night and flooded our house. For more info, check out http://boschdishwasher.blogspot.com.

We just returned from vacation to find our kitchen and basement virtually destroyed (many tens of thousands in damage) from what we can best discern was a continously cycling Bosch dishwasher.
