Hi, some else posted the same question, but I have anti virus already installed. I can't right click or get anything.

I can do alt control delete to get into the task manager, but nothing else.

Anyone know how I can get into system restore because then I could try putting it back to a previous point.

BTW I have done a hard ware test & all seems well there.

run setup from cd choose repair windows your data will be safe it just restores the system files if your running windows xp also using safe mode by pressing the f8 key before windows starts loading then restart the computer this sometimes repairs registry and you can also get to restore system this way

Hi Jules,

Try going into the task manager and killing the 'explorer' process and then (from within task manager) Choose FILE,RUN and type 'explorer' (without the quotes) to restart the process.
