My combo player was working perfectly and now I can't eject the dvd either manually or with the remote. It plays, etc fine but I can't get it out!

I have a samsung dvd/video player which had the same fault, the eject drive belt had stretched it's a simple job to replace, unplug from the mains, remove the top cover and look at the dvd side of the machine you will see the belt. take it to any shop similar to Maplins.

look for a tiny pin hole on the front of the dvd played some have one and some dont, if it has one then put a needle in the hole and push it in so it releases the eject mechanism, if it dosent then its more complicated and requires a partcial stripdown and requires a suitable engineer to remove it. it can be a number of things ie a broken ruubber belt, faulty pcb(circuit board), or a stuck mechanism etc etc
