My Toshiba sattelite A75 will not power up?

The power port on my Toshiba sattelite A75 was loose, making it difficult to charge. I took it apart and soldered it now it wont do anything. I have my BS in Electronic Engineering, BSCIT. I did not make any stupid mistakes. Maybe a manufacturers trip switch?

Thank you Mario,
but the problem is in the board, or just a trip start that i may not know about. the board and I were grounded when working, and the was no torqueing of the motherboard.

chek the output voltage of the power supply, you should have around 19 volts DC. If ok check the job you did. check also the voltage of the battery.
good luck
