How to fix my old toyota model 3440 sewing machine?

where the needle fits in that part only goes half way down and gets stuck. i have tried manually doing it but can only turn the dial half way and back up again. is anyone able to tell me what is wrong with it and how this can be fixed. thanks

Hello Kimberley,
Sounds like the machine has now gone out of time if the needle is jamming partway down, you can retime it yourself with a bit of patience and I can e-mail the instructions on how to do it, just let me know drivewithken@blueyonder.co.uk
