the connection might look the same but it isnt, the permanent live and ignition live feeds are the wrong way round. basically you will have red wire to red and yellow wire to yellow with connectors fitted in the wires, swap it so it goes red to yellow and yellow to red, or if the wires are already that way round swap them back to red to red yellow to yellow. that is the general colour scheme but if it is different the wires you swap over will generally have a clear connector built into each one that pull apart for this specific purpose.
