Ideal classic boiler keeps cutting out after a few hours?

After a few hours my ideal classic boiler cuts out and will not restart. The boiler will not start to heat the central heating system nor hot water. However if left overnight it works fine again. Any ideas what the problem is?

Hello all, my Ideal, cuts out off the room thermostat is on low and only starts up if i remove the cover and suck the vacuum pipe to the switch, which then cuts the fan in..but it should be the other way around...

usually with the classic it will either be a sticking relay on the control board or the thermister(thermostat-if it goes off remove plug in with 2 black leads from board if it fires its the stat if not pcb

Probably the return is too hot - this trips the cut-out. You can reset it, slip your right hand between the control box and the right inside case. You will find a little button that you can click back in. Keep turning the water temperature down until you find the highest level when it doesn't cut out. Then call a plumber because something else is wrong that is causing the problem. If you have radiators cold at the bottom - it may be sludge - then you will need to power flush the system. Cold at the top - then bleed the radiators - hot downstairs cold up thn your pump is suspect etc etc
