when we close the door to start a cycle the door locked light just keeps flashing. Is there a switch of somekind behind the door frame that needs replacing?

give the edge of the door a bang by the door catch doing this makes a lazy catch engage sometimes it works, if not u need a new interlock switch. Remove POWER SUPPLY FIRST(240V) remove top cover of machine look down by the door seal note how wires position on switch (a drawing is good at this point unless you are color blind) remove the two screws switch is now free replace wires EXACTLY the same on new one.remount switch using the screws, replace lid, turn on supply,light should stop flashing water should enter and bobs your uncle.
