what does cd err code mean?

My 2000 Jimmy delco am/fm cd player won't play discs anymore, "err' reads on display. What can I do?

Russ, this what i did when mine developed the same problem. Disconnect one of the leads to the car battery. Then fix it back. Simple. The time settings will/may change but all you have to do is to reset it. Insert the cd and play.
