My 2002 Mondeo has a 6000 CD/Radio, the radio constantly loses reception and the unit then performs a scan to find another station but just goes round and round. The CD works fine but is the problem with the radio common and can it be fixed?

hi i have ford mark 7 transit it has a ford radio 6000 cd im trying to connect my phone to it but it keeps showing no phone found im hopeing that you can help me with this problem

I can confirm Steve Bloods experience.Mine has done the same thing has yours and his--its 6 1/2 years old.Just got a call from repairers today saying tuner is US and spare part not available(???) so been advised to get a new radio.Will also need a mounting panel and a blanking panel to go above radio (radio mounts in lower half of opening--shame it doesn't go at top where it would be better to see) plus adaptors for plugs at the back of radio.Asked if blanking half was available as a 'pigeon-hole' so cd's could be stored there but was told not.

this happened on my focus 6000 radio/cd,the memory has gone ,if you make the mistake and take the unit out to see if it is the arial is working you might find, like i did that the code does not activate if you disconect the power lead .so i purchased a sony cd /radio rather pay around 60 to 70 pound for a second hand unit that might give me the same problem i am going to throw my old unit away.
