yes i aquired this machine from pantheronline,i had a devil of a job getting visual as well,the instructions might as well have been written in pigeon urdu!,as i remember if you power it up and then try to tune your tv set to pick up signal and then go into the set up menu on your akai remote,i'm sorry i cant be more helpful but i dont want to start fiddling with controls to try and backtrack in case i lose it again,all i can say is keep persevering,it is there somewhere,i think if you do give up the ghost try your local newspaper ads and see if theres a local bod who will tune it in for you.good luck.
