Can I modify my ford car stereo for use with an MP3 player?

M0 Ford Escort has the original cassette/radio stereo fitted in it (RDS 5000 EON). I wanted to plug in my Ipod and was hoping there would be some kind of auxilliary input on the back that would allow me to do this but there is nothing back there but multi pin connectors. If i new which pins, if any are used for audio input i could hard wire it with a mini jack cable. Any ideas?

I just asked a salesman at best buy about modifying a pioneer unit and he said the parts were about 125.00 and it can be done on some models.

I've got the same car and couldn't tell you, I've just got one of those transmitters that you either plug into the cigarette lighter or have a battery power one that tunes into a radio station and you pick it up with the radio normally. That works well enough.
