Panasonic 42" Plasma Screen goes pink and green?

My Panasonic 42# Plasma screen about 12-18 months old works extremely well for about 45 minutes to an hour and then suddenly the image is in pinks and greens. I then switch it off soon thereafter to prevent possible damage. Any suggestions on how to fix or what could be wrong?

it sounds like you are using a 'component video' connection to the television. Look for a (red, green, blue) RCA type of connection ... they just look like TV plugs. The 'pinks' and 'greens' indicate the blue wire on this component video lead is faulty which would cause no damage to your set. The leads are cheap and easy to replace.

This will be the correct if you have a home theater amplifier and use a satellite receiver, DVD or cable, TV box ... ect. and you have them all plugged into a home theater amplifier/receiver.

If you don't have any of this gear and you are only watching a TV that is plugged into the wall with an antenna point ... the TV is probably stuffed
