can i isolate the hotwater circuit from my combi boiler?

I have a leak in my hotwater circuit and cannot get a plumber, holidays etc, I have solved the problem by turning off the water supply. Could I isolate the hot water only by shutting down the appropriate outlet from the combi boiler (worcester greenstar junior). This would give me cold water back which would be an improvement.

Most combi boilers have a valve on the cold main entering the boiler & closing this will stop cold water entering the boiler and prevent your hot water circuit receiving a supply & stopping your leak , allowing you to turn the main supply to the house back on
