I'm having the same problem with a 2000 Admiral tv/vcr combo, and I DO have the original remote. Somehow my v-chip password was set, and I have no clue what it is or how to bypass it. I don't have the original manual or any company contact information because they've been out of business for some time. Anyone know if there's any way to manually remove it?

V chips are designed to make negating them difficult if not impossible. (Otherwise the kids would just switch them off wouldn't they?)

I suggest a call to the manufacturer.

Never heard of this model but many sets will only access tunning functions with the original remote unless it can be done on the functions on the front of the set. If your set has a scart socket input at the rear you could connect a vcr to this and select the AV function on the television. You should be able then to tune the vcr to required stations and watch through this if stuck. Only other thing is to purchase an original remote.
