How can I fix Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer which doesn't get cold?

I don't know the model number but it is Fisher & Paykel (Shacklock) which is frost free. Suddenly it stopped being cold, especially the fridge got warm. The freezer is not working properly either. Does anyone know how to fix it or can recommend someone who knows this make? I live in the vicinity of postcode RG8. Thank you.

Same problem with Fisher & Paykel 'ActiveSmart' fridge 18 months old and running with no problem till now.
Repair man jumped to the conclusion that it was the fan and replaced the vertical plane fan in the back of the freezer. No joy! Fridge was only vaguely cool at the bottom, but about 25 deg C everywhere else - freezer was at -11 degrees C. I decided there must be a blockage somewhere, & see your post.

After turning off for 24 hrs it seems to be ok again. At least a litre of water dripped from the drain at the back during the defrost, so I surmise that was quite a large lump of ice somewhere I couldn't see.

We had this problem, had the repair guy out 3 times over the space of a year. There is a build up of ice behind the white plastic in the freezer that goes over the outlet for the cold air for the fridge part.

Call out the repair guy and insist that they put in the replacement part that fixes the problem

You can remove the plastic bit and defrost or chip away at the ice but this will not fix the problem and you will just lose more food from spoilage.
