The main oven pilot light comes on yet the oven will not heat up to temperature but leaves the pilot on low.
The main gas does not seem to come on is there a safety device i need to change.
Thank you but did not work. Tried pressing all the
buttons together somehow (quite difficult!) and this worked!!!! I now have a working oven after power cut last winter!!!

Cannon Cambridge Double Oven - Switching to manual mode: Press the second(cook period) and third(end time) buttons together & while holding them, press the - Manual button(the last but second). This should switch back the oven to manual mode from auto.

only the hobs on my oven work. No gas comes out of the ovens. I think this is because the clock needs to be corrected. It lights up, but the buttons do not operate and it remains on manual. I have taken out the buttons and cleaned the inside, but it makes no difference. Do I have to get service engineer?

My oven was on auto, as you suggested.
I didn't notice 'cos it had been steam cleaned and the clock was obscured by water vapour.
Brilliant, I can get to baking my apple and oat cake now.

Make sure the cooker is not on auto, meaning press the manual button next to the clock buttons and you will hear a little click meaning its back in manual mode :)

Sounds like the ffd (flame failure device) is faulty. Google this for your model or even try eBay

I had the same problem, u need to make sure the clock is set and the cooker is plugged into the mains before either of the ovens will work! Hope this helps!
