The door to my Hotpoint WM80 washing machine has locked shut after it flashed and blew the fuse, i have been advised that its the door interlock that is causing the problem. How do i get the door open and is the part easy to replace.

disconnect from electrical supply remove top of machine.you should be able to run your arm down the side of the drum toward's the door lock,once you have reached the lock you can unlock the door from here,move the lock backward's and forward's with one hand and pull the door with other,when door is open you can unscrew the door lock now and remove using the wiring & refit new one and place back with hand screwback in with the other, hope this help's
