How can I fix my Kenmore 90 Series washing machine?

During a cycle the spinner thing will not spin. How can I fix this or find out what the problem is? It is only 7 yrs old.

I have the same problem. Take a look at the switch on the top of the machine near the top right hand corner of the lid. There are two screws holding it in (visible when you lift the lid). The switch may be defective or in my case the switch had broken of its mount. Although the part is around $30 I have not been able to figure out how to remove the cover so I'll probably have to get a proffessional in to repair it.

Good luck!

Hi Peter,

When you say it won't spin, is the motor running or is it a dead washer? Does it fill, wash or drain?
