transit 2.5ccdi very difficult to start in cold weather?
very difficult to start in very cold weather below 3 degrees, starts first time in normal weather. Using more fuel than normal 80,000 miles on the clock.
Give the van an oil change using the correct 5w30 semi-synthetic oil and remove and clean all the connections between the battery and the starter and you will find the van will start first time every time.
I know this sounds odd but it is a very common problem on these vans and this IS the fix for it.
