Optia FF50 - does it have a constant pilot light ?

Probably a daft question to an expert but I'm not. We have an Optia FF50 fitted and recently noticed that there is no pilot light but I've not noticed whether there was one before - just taken it for granted. It does light up when we want to increase temperature/switch on and light on electric socket comes on when this happens which ignites the gas in the boiler. Does this do away with the need for a constant pilot light ?

hi,,
the quick answer to this is no,
all modern boilers nowadays are pilotless, this is to reduce losses of wasted energy...
