Un Vented Santon Premier Plus PP210E Thermal Cut Out Keeps Tripping Out?

I have a Santon Premier Plus PP210E un vented hot water cylinder in a flat that is only heated by electric. It Has 2 immersion heaters, top and a lower one. The lower one's Thermal cut out has tripped twice in 3 weeks. The immersion heater can be set to a maximum of 70 degrees and the thermal cut out should operate at 80 - 85 degrees. I am sure one of these must be faulty if it keeps tripping. I think it could be the combined thermostat & thermal cut out device the pushes on to the immersion heaters terminals but i could be wrong as the device takes its info from the immersion heater element. Any advice and help would be greatfully recieved.

Your thermostat is likely burnt out - get down and have a look at the wiring connections to the thermostat - you'll likely see signs of scorching. (BE SURE TO DISCONNECT FROM MAINS BEFORE GOING ANYWHERE NEAR IT). If it's scorched 90% likely dead - remove and replace it (and re-wire as the wiring loom is also now likely to be burnt solid!)

I have excatly the same issue with mine.

Did you sort this one out? Would be grateful to know if so, and what the problem was.

Cheers
