the television wont turn on by remote or from the set its self

check remote by pointing digital camera at remote sensor look through lens and if you see s white light and a red light flickering problem is with sensor on tv i have the same problem and it is the tv sensor. i have looked every where on net for part with no luck so far.asked tv man and he sayed fifty to change sensor if micro processor tv will be in trash
