Where's the OBD port on Honda Accord?

Hi all,
Does anyone know where the OBD 2 port is located on the 98-2003 model 2.0ltr Accord? I've checked on a Autodata2 cd, it appears to be somewhere underneath the steering wheel column. I took off the fascia plate below steering wheel column, but can't find socket. I know on the earlier models, there's an auto link connector, underneath glove box. Think this model has an OBD port though. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Just found mine in the passenger foot well, pull the back the carpet by the centre consol and there it is. looks like a steel scart socket of the like you would find on the back of your TV

George,

I don't know if this helps, but i have a 99 V6 accord and my OBD port is underneath the drive column right next to the hood release. It's pretty visable and you don't need to remove anything to find it.

Nigel,
I've also read about the 15" rule. Not always true though. Take for instance a Ford KA, OBD 2 socket on passengers side pillar (under carpet). Further than 15" from drivers seat. I found that out, as my wife owns a 05 KA

Nigel,
Thanks for the reply. I checked behind the facia plate under steering wheel, above brake & clutch peddles, but couldn't find OBD socket. It's my neighbours car, showing ECU light. I have a OBD reader & used it on a few other cars successfully. If I eventually find it, I'll let you know.
Cheers & nice to get a reply.

Hi George, my book shows it as being under the fascia on drivers side near centre console the rule is that it should be within 15" of the drivers seat and no specialist tools will be required to gain access to the connector
