How can I fix Akai aa-r50 receiver?

Right speaker has static, volume goes off and comes back on,
can't get it to adjust to a low volume.

Got the same poor solder problem. Solved it by resoldering a big capacitor on the rigth side of the amp board with the machine upside down, controls facing you.
