how to sharpen the chain on my chain saw?

I have a Performance Power 1800w electric chain saw, with a 52 link, 35 cm chain (CH052) as supplied by B & Q. I'm used to sharpening chains with a dremel or similar stone fitted to my B & D Wizard, but I can't find what size of stone to buy eg 4mm, 4.8mm or whatever. Can you help, please? KJ

Hi

I use a file - its a long job but worth it. The ones I use are from cognos:

i really dont think you should be sharpening the chain with one of those. the teeth have to be cut at a certain angle and pitch. otherwise it wont cut properly.
also using that could cut the actual links and make the chain weak causing it to break and proberbly chop something off you might need, like an arm or two.

i know for the stihl saws you can get a proper hand sharpening kit that contains a clamp, file and gauge.
always remember chainsaws are very dangerous and arnt worth using cheaper methods of maintenance., best of luck.
