leaking radiator?

Last Friday my radiator started pumping out water from a small hole which had rusted. I managed to stop the flow by tightening the valves at the side of the radiator with some pliers. Since then it is still dripping water (into a bucket) and i am waiting for someone to come and fix it. Apart from that i was wondering if it is safe to leave it dripping or will it affect the water pressure from the boiler (Potterton profile). I still have hot water for the shower, washing up etc but am reluctant to put on the heating, as not sure if it is safe to do so. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure where it is - I inherited a central heating system which i am told is over 20 years old. Sorry to be so thick but I know nothing about boilers/heating sytems. I'll try to get someone in asap. Thanks for your advise anyway.

you will have to keep an eye on the bar pressure on your heating system
