NewWorld DW60 Error CODE E4?

My dishwasher has just stopped working and it's showing an error code E4, any suggestions on what the code means and is it possible for me to clear it?

E4 Error i have found that the main problem with this, if you take the main panel off on the left there is a clear container with three pipes a switch and a solinoid.
the solinoid keeps getting stuck along with the switch, just turn it on, put on a program and with a bit of plastic or wood tap the solinoid on it body...... it should then work... remove and clean should be good now

Hello Cliff, I am currently having the same problem too, my New World dishwasher has stopped working, an E4 sign is flashing and beeping whenever switched on. Can you kindly let me know in more detail as to what part of the dishwasher did you actually open to take apart and where is the misconnected pipe located so I can try to do the same? Lisa

I had the same problem.

I pulled it out and pulled it apart to see if anything looked out of place. I noticed that on the left hand side there is a water box with 3 pipes going into it. The middle of the 3 was coming off. After reinstalling it and adding a clip to make sure is did not come off again, I've had no more issues.

I can only assume that air was leaking in and triggering a sensor.

cant help but having same problem and it seems that there seems to be a fault with the product the way it has been designed. Having are one just over a year we are no longer covered and it seems that we just have to keep tilting ot forward to drain out water.

Hi Paul
did you ever get this problem fixed as i have the same on my dishwasher and am at a loss

Gary, February 2008
I googled KENWOOD E4 having got the error code and was amazed at the returns. Good news is that I seemed to have fixed it thanks to some of the replies. I was in the process of removing it - someone suggested tipping it back 45* to drain it - (it's an integrated model) but when I came to detach the drain I noticed this was connected higher in the myriad waste connections under my sink - dishwasher, garbage disposal, washing machine etc). I've cleaned the garbage disposal waste connection & the soap restrictions from the washing machine waste and made/remade the connections so the dishwasher connect is lower. No 'E4' or noise at switch on, it's now completed a 'cleaning' cycle - now for the big load after tea!! The height of the waste connection might explain why some people have experienced this repeatedly, this is the first time I've seen it in just over 12 months - I'll be keeping an eye on any restrictions building up in the wash machine & garbage disposal wastes from now on.
