vauxhall vectra 1999 b 1.8 16v petrol dash removal?

You can remove the clocks in agout 1hr, no special tools reqd.
Remove 3 screws from bottom of steering wheel cowl. There are a further 2 screws that you will need to rotate the wheel around for as they are behind the steering wheel at 3 and 9 'o' clock respectively, may be covered by little black covers. Remove upper and lower cowl.
Next remove the light switch assy, this is just a push fit but has 2 metal 'springs' these are about half way up the sides may take a bit of wiggling and gentle pressure from a flat bladed screwdriver. Then remove all 4 air vents. Once again push fit, each has 4 plastic clips, 2 each side near the top and the bottom. i used 2 old credit cards to get the vents out.
Next remove the screws that hold the left and right dash trim. Will be easeir if you unhook the L & R indicator/wiper stalks. On LH side two screws where the vents came out and a further screw thats under the clocks close in to the steering column. There is also a plastic clip at the bottom of the trim where it meets the centre console On RH side also has a similar screw near steering column and 2 further screws, 1 behind laight switch, 1 behind vent.
Remove the 4 screws that hold the instrument panel.
Gently pull the LHS of the panel, behind it is the plug for the multi-display, use a small flat bladed screwdriver to release the clip on the plug and wiggle the plug out.
Remove instrument panel. You may find it a bit easier if you disconnect the little plug on top of the steering wheel, this goes to the airbag, ensure ign off when doing this, also do not switch ign on with this plug disconnected, it will give the airbag light which can only be reset with Tech 2.
