My dishwasher stops half way through its cycle, why?

I have a indesit dishwasher DG6145 and every time i put it on it stops half way through its cycle.

Does anyone have any idea why?

The timer needs to be replaced. It has a dead stop or (if it's electronic) a blown diode array.
