no colour through AV1 or DVD on standard TV?

The TV and video functions are all OK with good picture however with the DVD player connected via AV1 or DVD inputs I loose all colour when playing DVD. Picture is B&W (some green tint). Sound is OK.
Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem - not sure whether it's the DVD player however as i get a b&W signal through DVD and AV1 no matter what i plug into it.

Did you find a solution to your problem?

Adjust the settings on your DVD player to suit the format you are using. PAL for the UK. I guess you are British because of the way you spelled COLOUR. The green tint is because the tube in the TV is beginning to die, but it could still last a good number of years. You will get the same effect if you turn the colour all the way down on any channel.
