ford mondeo 2001?

imy battery went on my remote i changed it the car drove for about 5miles then the immobiliser came on then went off in seconds it is still doing it today what is wrong please

the key fob is only opening the door ever now and again is the battery going or do i need to do something else.

if all you changed is the battery in the fob, then the ecu is not receiving the signal properly from your keycode key if the battery is a cheapy variation nip into your local ford garage they should be able to give you the correct battery (serial numbers differ) and the probs should cease.

hi you need to programme your key fob in to the car.sit in the car & key in the ignition turn key to position 2, 4 times in 6 second's if you still have the original stereo in this will make a noise or the red led stays illuminated at this point remove the key and press the lock button on the fob, this should lock the car,open car on the fob,fob reprogrammed.hope this help's
