how can i repair the brushes in my hotpoint wm54 washer as the drum in my washer isnt spinning

The brushes are located on the main motor. They are graphite blocks which transfer power to the copper segments on the rotating part of the motor. Brushes are held in with screws or clips. check out www.2ndwave.co.uk/manual.html
