does the water go away when you can hear it pumping?.if not check your filter for blockages and make sure the bottom tub hose and drain hose is clear

Sounds like a problem with the pressure switch - a round air operated unit located in the top of the machine. It tells the machine if there is still water in drum. sounds like its giving a faulty signal. either the air tube or the vessel attached to it is blocked or switch contacts are welded closed. also check the filter - some machines have a combined filter and pressure vessel.
