Make sure it is all unclogged. Also just replacing the old belt with new will make a substantial difference. Look for cracks in all hoses. Hairline cracks will cause loss of suction.

add some tape around hose connection around seal when u plug hose in to much air is getting in or add add tape around end of suction end to increase suction on that end i recomend both
and u might also try a new belt as ols might be streaching
