My Nokia 1600 has now on three occassions selected a land line number at random from my contact list and sent three blank SMS messages. T-mobile have been contacted but theyhaven't been able to offer an explanation. I have now removed all numbers and names from my contact list in both the phone and the SIM card. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

You must be keeping your phone in your pocket without locking the pad. The pressure on the keys is causing the phone to dial on it's own.
Press the top left key then the * key to lock the pad. Same to unlock.

get your fone flasshed, its free from any nokia dealer or shop, dont let them charge you cous all cost is paid for by nokia even if your fone is 10 years old(nokia only) . its a softwear prob you have, any more info 07762676539, rich
