i recently had my vodafone sony ericsson phone unlocked so i could use my virgin mobile sim card. i would like to use the messenger feature on my phone but everytime i try to log in it says ' login failed, network error' is there any way i can fix this?

go onto your internet browser on ur mobile.
If u have full permission to browse the web and have enough credz it's easier, then go to google.co.uk on ur phone and type in windows live messenger and go through the process.
