Indesit WD12. Dryer doesn't work?

Everything is wet and in fact there appears to a pool of water in the drum. This goes if you just spin it, but comes back if you put it on a drier setting. Any ideas?

Had this problem theres a panel at the bottom of the front of the machine remove this and theres an access port to the internal filter this is full of water so a bowl is needed here
unscrew and empty this thoroughly dragging out any muck you find then reassemble it should now work if it doesnt then expect to cough up for a new pump

It does heat. Will take a look at those suggestions. Thanks very much for the quick responses.

check the element

possible fault with the heating element or thermal fuse on the drier unit on top of the drum? Is the heater actually working? other possibilities - leaking water valve, blockage in the pump or sump hose. Check out www.2ndwave.co.uk/manual.html
