how to stop hotpoint FFA71 fridge collecting water at the back?

We have a hotpoint FFA71 fridge freezer and it currently doesn't seem to drain water from the back of the fridge section.

I have ensured that nothing is touching the back wall of the fridge and made the fridge colder but neither of these have seemed to stop the accumlation of water

any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

thanks

Our FFA71 too is packing up. The freezer is fine but the fridge compartment has recently become a freezer as well.
Turned it off and on again after defrosting but no change. Only 3 years old and thought it was a good buy. guess not!!!

try pushing a skewer or similar thro the rubber bung at the bottom of the water collector below the cooling panel. the hole thro it becomes clogged.

thanks for your suggestion

I have looked at the hole, it is there but it doesn't seem to be draining down it properly and I am not sure why

If this is an auto defrost fridge, look for a small hole on the back wall usually just above the salad drawer section - this is where the condensate water is meant to drain through and it goes to a tray on the back outside of the fridge where it evaporates.
